If you're looking for book recommendations, these are some of my favorites I've read in the last couple of years:

"The Hundred Loves of Juliet" by Evelyn Skye

"A Short Walk Through a Wide World" by Douglas Westerbeke

"On This Day in History Sh!t Went Down" by James Fell

"Pachinko" by Min Jin Lee

"All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr

...I could go on.

And I'm now adding the stuff from your playlist to mine (but NOT on Spotify!)

Love these suggestions - thank you!! And yeah I kicked Spotify to the curb last fall but it still seems to be the playlist sharer of choice alas. Hope you like some of the tunes!

I just finished watching Line of Duty on BritBox (aggravatingly, S5 is only on Acorn). It was a very stressful watch but very engrossing.

Yeah man like every lawyer, political scientist and historian agrees we have an authoritarian dictator and half the country thinks that's funny, so. Sigh. I keep uninstalling IG for days at a time for a break from the enragement.

Also I can't hear "america online" without immediately hearing "exit plan" lyrics in my head. 😂

hahahaa AOL, the ultimate in dial up nostalgia. also, I mean...it's a LITTLE funny. like, in a not funny at all, but I'm still going to make jokes about how I would not, but someone should. someone definitely could. not me though.
